Heather Watts

2nd Grade Teacher

Heather Watts was born in NY and grew up in DC, but considers herself a Tennessean. She moved to Franklin in the early 90s back when there was 1 stop light downtown at 5 points, cruising was the only thing to do on Friday nights because there was only McDonalds & Sonic, and Hwy 96 was the exit for Franklin and the happening place with the only movie theater and the choice of shopping at Walmart (where Hobby Lobby is now) or K-Mart (now the AtHome).  It is here in Franklin that she met her husband Brian, who also teaches at Trinitas. They have been married for 26 years and together have raised three wonderful children: Micah – who is 25 and lives in Colorado; Joelle – who is 21 and lives here in Franklin; and IsabelKate – who is 18 and our forever child.

Her favorite places to be are on the beach, at the lake, or creekside at our home: Prodigal Farm. There she loves growing things, most especially berries, flowers, and herbs. She enjoys a variety of music, art, books, and movies, and is currently teaching herself embroidery.  She has been in education for almost 3 decades and has taught a variety of elementary grades from K through 5th in both Christian & Classical Christian schools. She loves teaching and is excited to be joining the Trinitas Academy family.
