Cathy Van Gorden
Math
Cathy graduated from Flagler College with a B. A. in Mathematics and Secondary Education. After graduating, Cathy worked at a daycare in Gainesville, FL, and substituted for a year before she taught mathematics at Barron Collier High School in Naples, FL for 3 ½ years. In 1996, she and her family moved to Williamson County in Tennessee.
Since 1996, she has taught 3rd Grade Mathematics up to Geometry, middle school science, 2nd grade, 1st grade, kindergarten, preschool, art and P. E. all at TCA.
Cathy and her husband, Eric, have been married for 28 years. They have four children, Kerisa, Sedona, Eddie, and Elise. She is an amusement park and roller coaster junkie, but, most of all, she loves worshiping at church. Her favorite verses are Jeremiah 29: 11-13, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”
