Trinitas Classical Academy Overview
The principal objective at Trinitas Classical Academy is to train young men and women to think clearly and listen carefully with discernment and understanding; who reason persuasively and articulate precisely; who are capable of evaluating their entire range of experience in light of the Scriptures, and who do so with eagerness in joyful submission to God. We desire our students to recognize cultural influences in the light of Scripture and not to be swayed or tempted towards evil by their culture. We hope, by God’s grace, to raise up young men and women who are zealous for truth, hungry for goodness, and sensitive to beauty.
Position Overview
The main focus of our PreK Teacher is to train our youngest learners in the way of Christ and to learn how to balance social skills with academic excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate love for children in his/her past and align with Trinitas Classical Academy’s mission and values. There will be opportunities for creative latitude within the PreK Teacher role because of our unique hybrid model of Montessori and Kindergarten preparatory activities.
Position Responsibilities
• Responsible for assisting the Preschool lead teacher in curriculum planning and activities, discipline, feedback, academic learning, and fun!
• Exceptional customer service, relationship building, and communication skills with staff, administration, parents, and students
• Integrate Biblical principles and a Christian worldview into all curricula and teaching
• Be prepared to communicate the school’s religious beliefs to students and others who inquire
• Be ready to pray with and offer spiritual advice to students
• Hours for this role will be flexible and may include participation in our AfterCare Program from 3:30-5. This may include some creative development of simple activities for the kids as well as supervising a quiet homework environment and outside playtime.
Qualifications/Personality Profile:
• Required: must be 21 or older
• Must possess and demonstrate a love for children
• Must have a strong commitment to your Christian faith and show joy in your daily walk with Christ
• High level of consistent communication, discipline, and follow-through
• Must be energetic and have a can-do, positive attitude
• Experience teaching in a Montessori setting is helpful but not required
Compensation
The compensation for this role will be commensurate with experience.
