Sherry Ward was born in New Jersey and has since lived in Kentucky and Minnesota before moving to the Nashville area. She holds a BA from Douglass College at Rutgers University. Sherry’s journey as an educator started in high school when her youth group leader’s wife, who worked at a Christian school, told her she would be a great teacher. This new idea not only led Sherry to teach second grade at New Life Christian School in NJ, but also to home educate five of her children for almost eighteen years. God has placed three new children in her family’s life whose adoption process should be completed by Christmas 2020. Sherry teaches the fifth and sixth grades this year at TCA. Five of her eight children attend with her: a senior, a freshman, a seventh-grader, two third graders and a second-grader. She is happy to have joined the TCA family.
