Rebecca Ratze

Miss Rebecca graduated from the University of Michigan in May of 2020. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Music. Her primary passion is Early Childhood Education. In order to further develop her knowledge of early childhood development and elementary education, Miss Rebecca received over 50 credits of elective coursework from the School of Education at the University of Michigan. During college, in addition to two years of student teaching in Kindergarten and First Grade, Miss Rebecca spent two years working at Goldfish Swim School teaching children from age 6 months to 12 years old.

1 Peter 4:10 is an important verse in Miss Rebecca’s life: “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” Because Miss Rebecca has overwhelmingly experienced God’s love and grace for her in abundant ways, she desires to use her life and gifts to bring joy to and serve others. As Miss Rebecca grows in her walk with the Lord, she continues to learn how God graciously grants His children the desires of their hearts.

Miss Rebecca has experience leading a worship service at Huron Valley Women’s Correctional Facility in Ypsilanti, MI. The years spent serving the women at the prison have been both life changing and rewarding as she has had the privilege of witnessing God’s grace unfold. Miss Rebecca also spent several years serving young mothers and families at Family Life Services Clinic and Pregnancy Center of Washtenaw County.

In the same ways that Miss Rebecca has valued and appreciated her volunteer positions, she is so grateful that God has given her the opportunity to invest in young children. She prays that God will use her to speak truth into the little ones at TCA. She desires for these children to know just how much God loves them!

In her free time, Miss Rebecca enjoys triathlon training, playing piano, and eating ice cream.

Miss Rebecca is so excited to begin her career at TCA. She hopes to instill within her young children a passion and understanding of what it means to live for Jesus Christ and a desire and interest in becoming lifelong learners for the cause of advancing God’s Kingdom here on earth.
