I was born in New York, grew up in DC, and moved to Franklin 26 years ago where I met my husband, Brian. We are blessed with three children: Micah, Joelle & IsabelKate. I have been in education since I was a teenager and began my career working at a preschool throughout high school and college. I graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a degree in Elementary Education with Early Childhood emphasis and started teaching at a small Christian School here in Franklin. I spent most of my two decades in education teaching Kindergarten but also taught first grade for two years, a year of 3-5th grade language, as well as remedial reading support for all grades. For the next 5 years, I got to be a work-from-home mom and homeschooled our youngest child, who is specially-abled.
When she started school in 4th grade, I became the Early Childhood Children’s Minister at Kirk of the Hills in Oklahoma. When we moved home last year, I had the opportunity to sub at TCA and was delighted to be asked to be the Pre-K teacher this year. I am excited to be back in the classroom loving these little ones God has given me to teach!
